Sunrise Over the New River Gorge
Golden hour at the New River Gorge — the kind of morning that makes the early alarm worth it.

Pulled over at the Canyon Rim overlook just as the sun crested the eastern ridge. The gorge filled with golden light from the bottom up, like someone was slowly pouring honey into a bowl.
No other vehicles in the lot. Just the sound of the river a thousand feet below and a red-tailed hawk riding the thermals.
Moments like this are why I ride.
